Used to flavor Muscatel wine. A wash is soothing to the eyes, and the tea helps digestion. The plant is a rosette of large hairy toothed leaves the first year, with large masses of white to pink to bluish flowers the second year. An extract is used to flavor cigarette tobacco. Thrives in heavy soils.
