One of the "magic plants" of Mexican Indians - the seeds contain ergine, a chemical similar to LSD. It is a vine of easy culture with masses of white tubular flowers when grown indoors or in sub-tropical areas. The flowers produce large amounts of nectar and is one of the main honey plants on the island of Cuba. An excellent tub plant in the north, flowering December - February. Also known as Turbina corymbosa.
