Finely cut gray-green leaves on stout woody stems. The leaves have a strong rich smell with a hint of citrus. Cultivated for the perfume industry. Rub leaves on skin to repel flies and mosquitoes; store with clothes to repel moths. It is a mild stimulate, operating particularly on the female reproductive system. Prefers a light sandy soil but is adaptable to our clay. Drought tolerant. From S. Europe.
