Native to eastern North America, this is a rhizatomaceous plant with 3/4" pink flowers. Used to induce menstruation, sweating, and urination. Said to be stimulant, tonic, and to be useful in treating hysteria, restlessness, and insomnia. Prefers damp soils. Also known as Wood Sage.
