Great ornamental - its soft, slender leaves, like the stems, are almost entirely white. All varieties(Silver King, Silver Queen) of A. ludoviciana are white to gray leaved and have been used by Native Americans for many reasons; constipation, inability to urinate, difficult childbirth (root tea), sinus attacks, nosebleed, headache (leaf snuff), stomach troubles, eczema, lung complaints (leaf tea), and purification rites (burning).
