Short creeping native Iris - purple/violet sepals with fluted yellow crests. 3" flowers top 6" flower stalks. Prefers rich, damp acidic soil; tolerates and thrives in our clay. Forms dense colonies. Native Americans used the root to treat hepatitis and ulcers.
