This and the next listing(Provence) are commercial lavender oil production varieties grown for their vigor, quantity and quality of their oil. They are both virus-resistant varieties and both are hybrids - crosses between L. angustifolia and L. latifolia. Also called "Fat Spike" as the flower buds are fatter than those of L. angustifolia/English Lavender. Sometimes blooms twice in a season.
