An African medicinal shrub sold in this country mainly for its showy sprays of winter-blooming white flowers and aromatic foliage. Its fuzzy green leaves are extremely pungent and have moth-repellent properties. Traditional uses have been to treat malaria, gonorrhea, fevers, diarrhea, and headaches. Leaves also exhibit antibacterial and anti-fungal proprties. Easy indoors. Also known as Tetradenia riparia and Nutmeg Bush.
