Recently taken off the endangered list, this fascinating pale purple flower always faces east in our beds when in bloom. Our patch is planted in the flight path of a couple of beehives - I'm pretty sure I can hear the bees thanking us when I'm in that bed. Known from only 3 counties in Tennessee, it is under continuing pressure from development.
