The fragrant leaves have finely-toothed margins. The pale purple flowers are larger than those of the English Lavenders. Much faster growing than L. angustifolia but not as hardy. Good indoor plants in the North and good bedding plants outside. Native to Spain, but Spanish Lavender is Lavandula stoechas.
