Highly esteemed European native. A tea made from the whole plant has been used to stimulate bile flow, cleanse the blood, treat fevers, gout, diarrhea, hepatitis, diabetes, jaundice, worms, and sore throats to mention a few. Commonly drunk as a beverage tea because of its fragrance. The whole plant yields yellow, orange, and gold dyes depending on the mordant used. Attractive deep green, divided, strongly toothed leaflets and long wands of 3/8" yellow flowers. Easily grown in average soil in full sun.
