The taxonomy may not be accurate, but it is attractive and unusual enough to stand on its own merits. It has the same coloring as African Blue Basil, but the sweet aroma is lacking the camphor overtones. The leaves are narrow and pointed, about 2"L x 3/4"W. Purple flowers. Very rare, except in New Guinea of course.
