One of the most important Chinese rejuvenative herbs, it is also significant in Ayurvedic medicine. It lowers blood sugar and cholesterol levels and clears toxins. Thrives in moisture and warmth; its prostrate weak stems spread rapidly. Has been hardy for us for years but I think we may be at it's northern limit of hardiness.
