Attractive Asian native with 2" deep orange flowers with red dots (Leopard Lily) followed by black "berries." Dried rhizome long used in E. Asia to treat throat troubles, asthma, stomachache, swollen liver and spleen, gonorrhea, malaria, and, of course, arrow poisoning. In 2005 DNA studies determined that this plant should be moved to the Iris genus and has been renamed Iris domestica.
