Curled Parsley often makes its appearance as a rather irrelevant garnish but it is delicious in salads, casseroles, and other dishes. It is a diuretic and also a valuable source of minerals. It contains, among others, iron, magnesium, and iodine. Useful as a breath cleanser so eat your garnish! The Parsleys are biennials - they put out a rosette of leaves the first year then flower and die their second year. Let your plants go to seed and they will reseed themselves. Host plant of Swallowtail butterflies.
