This looks like a grey-leaved thyme with purplish-pink flowers. Attractive to cats. The leaves are extremely pungent; inhaling crushed leaves will bring tears to your eyes. It has been used for gall bladder and stomach problems, as well as a snuff for headaches. The volatile oil is called marum camphor. Very tolerant of abuse(by cats) and drought where hardy - ours normally experience temperatures into the upper twenties over the winter. Good bonsai candidate - your cat can help!
