This plant has been used and revered for centuries. Druids and sorcerors used it in their ceremonies; it is an ingredient of their "lustral water". It has been used as an aphrodisiac, as a charm against venemous creatures and was supposedly used to staunch the wounds of Christ. King Solomon used it to purify his temple. Regarded as an anti-malarial in Chinese medicine. It is restorative to the nervous system, a digestive and uterine stimulant and increases breast milk production. It also treats fevers, asthma, tension, anxiety and pleurisy. Numerous small lilac flowers on spindly stems.
