Showy hardy native member of the Carrot family - masses of umbels of tiny yellow edible flowers. The root has anti-inflammatory properties - it is also used as a febrifuge and vulnerary. Prefers moist soil but withstands drought. Good rain garden plant. Attracts butterflies - it's a host plant for the Black Swallowtail larvae.
