Also known as Sanguisorba minor. Virtually evergreen - it's leaves impart a cucumber flavor to soups, salads, butters, cream cheese and vinegars. It has a long tradition of use in slowing blood flow, both internal and external. It is used to treat burns, and is considered useful as a blood purifier and wound herb. Easy in average garden soil, full sun.
