Dark green leaves variegated with a network of striking white lines form a rosette up to three feet across; blue flowers. Young leaves make excellent greens; the roots are a vegetable similar to salsify. Self-sows. Research shows this seems to have potential for helping regenerate liver tissue. Historically it has been used whenever the liver is involved. Sorry, we cannot ship this seed to the state of Oregon or Washington.
