The most valuable of our native medicinals, Ginseng is found in hardwood forests, usually on a slope which faces northeast. It likes a moist, slightly acidic soil rich in leaf mulch. This herb has been used as a panacea in many cultures for centuries; it is alleged to correct blood pressure problems (either high or low), correct impotence, and generally bring the body back into balance. Women prone to fibro-cystic breast disease should be aware that ginseng contains an estrogen-like compound which may aggravate their condition. These seeds are stratified and ready to plant. Packet(Standard): $3.50; 1/4 oz: $6.00; 1/2 oz: $12.00; 1 oz: $20.00 - 650 seeds/oz
